So I guess today we were going to do the famous Michigan workout. Last workout was wed and ill do hurdles saturday so its all good. Felt kinda sore in the beginning of the day, but it was nice out so I was ready.
Went on warmup with carter and mercer through little italy. Felt the nice weather. Carter was going to do the 10k, and mercer and I were gonna do the 5k. Did some strides and drills and stretch then jumped into it. We did 1 mile hard on track, 1 mile tempo on loop, 1200 hard track, 1 mile tempo loop, 800 hard track, 800 jog, 400 hard. Splits were
5:19, 5:50, 3:59, 5:39, 2:30, 66
Carter joined us for the end because he was having trouble hitting paces alone. The Hard parts were tough my legs felt like they couldnt really move, but I guess it was around 3k race pace which is good. The tempos felt awesome. Pretty easy I was barreling down the side walk. I remember struggling to keep up with the pack last year, surging to catch Grese as we went along the village. I have come a long way. Decent workout overall I think it helped my stamina. I can say I have done a Michigan now.
Cool down straight back to veale. We were pretty tired. Stretch, roll, L7 and ice before barely making it to dinner. Good luck tomorrow everyone!
