Ran long today. Not sure if we were supposed to but I needede it. Todays run was awesome. My confidence in myself was really shaken after yesterdays shit show. So to have a good run today was very very welcome.
All day I was contemplating running short today. I'm tired and need the recovery kept seeping into my mind. It wasn't untill I had actually started running that I decided to run the whole way and on the way out I thought once or twice about cutting it. But I'm glad I didn't.
That said on the way back I cranked. I got into a good running rythum. My legs were tired no doubt about it. That was the limiting factor. But my cardio felt awesome. Theres usually a big negative splt anyways cuz its significantly downhill coming back but toady I also had the wind at my back and I flew that way back. Probably between 45 and 46 minutes for the returning 8 miles. I know I was around 50:10 at the 8 mile mark. So at least 4 min neg split coming back. For a section thats slightly longer than 8 miles. The cardio is there. Really didn;t feel it. I was moving but for sure this wasn't a tempo. Not even a steady state. Just a good hard arobic run. And I really needed it. The foundation is there. I just gotta sharpen it up.
