tech drills, followed by np to coventry

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Got ready fairly quickly at veale. Forgot I needed spikes so I went up to top of the hill to get them. Ran over to the track to meet up with everyone. John Jay High was practicing there. I felt bad but they were kinda in the way. We did some drills, stretched, then got on spikes. Did the first barrier of the curve. Did individual run throughs. Stuttered on a few, but got over nicely and landed nicely. SOme of them were really good, and they felt good. Confidence booster. Then we did it all together. It was funny because Chris had never done it with other people. We were hitting each other. Next we went over to the water pit and did it individually. First one was savage. Coach was happy. In the middle they were a little weaker, but I was still pushing off and it wasnt terrible like in the race. It was actually what I am supposed to do. Just got to do itin the race. Chris and I did one together, we were exactly stride for stride. Cool. Right ankle was feeling weird because my shoe was tied oddly.

Cooled down back to veale with chris and David. Ankle/top of foot was hurting like a mofo. I had to stop at Euclid. I retied my shoe and it felt better. Very odd. I was debating going for a bike after, but it felt better so I ran.

Went out on NP with Chris. Talked some strategy. I am happy everyone is pumped, and they realize how cool it is. Turned around at coventry feeling pretty good.

Stretch, L7, roll, abs and ice. Iced top of foot just to be safe. Simulation tomorrow lets do it. After today, my confidence went up. I know I can do it, and in the setting and with all this competition I have been waiting for, I am excited.
