steeplechase + fun workout, great day

warmed up right away after the bus, my race was the 5th event. my hamstrings have been hurting, and i really tweaked it last meet. i was worried about it before the race, but it didnt feel all that bad when i was warming up. ate only muffins, and a lot of smoothy today, and a peanut butter banana sandwich. i also drank a ton of water today. the race started and i went out fast, then settled in behind a vestal guy. the water pit was cold, but didnt feel too bad. the whole race felt tempo, not like a real race so im hoping i can go at least 20-30 seconds faster. after the race i did a 10 min cooldown, then 10x 1 min fast, 1min easy, then another 8 minute cooldown. then i took an ice bath in the steeple pit. pretty happy with the results, and i got a shirt and ribbon for first. hamstring felt ok, though it was very sore afterward (along with my hip flexors, especially the right one)
