ladder workout

Got the ok for Allegheny. Coach is glad I want to race, to try and get back in the groove. Ill do workouts to lead up to that. Got to talk to Matt also...

David and Corey and I practiced at 3, warm up to outdoor track via Little Italy. My back and hip was a little sore today walking around. Still got the sore throat also.

Got to the track before coach, so we did stretches, drills and strides. We soon found out we were doing a ladder 4,6,8, 1000, 8,6,4. The pace was 75 and rest was 200 for the short and 400 for the long. Sounded good. Started out at nice paces, but throughout the workout I started to feel it. I wasnt recovering very well, and was starting to fall. The 8 and 6 on the way down were really tough. I died on the 6. The last 4 I pushed it hard. It must be from still being sick. Splits were

74, 1:50, 2:32, 3:09, 2:28, 1:56, 68

Tried really hard to focus on not falling off the pack. It was tough, but I think I did better than I usually do/have been lately.

Cool down back to veale. Legs were shot I was very tired. We stretched, rolled, forgot L7 (do it tonight) then abs, also no ice in the training room. Throat felt better after the workout, but got bad again after dinner.
