May 5, 2011 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Woke up very early today. I was tired by the time the run came around. Long day on airplanes didn’t help either. Cool to go back to Atlanta airport though. Anyways did this in the afternoon, which I think was the hottest time of day. It was upper 70’s out, and the sun was beating too. It felt unfamiliar.
Got to the hotel, put on my shoes, and went out. Didn’t think there was anywhere to run, so I just winded around the streets. The town is a perfect grid, labeled with Ave A –Z and 1st – 18th street. I just wandered around, turning when I saw a road that looked long. My legs felt shot from yesterday, and I was overall tired, and it was hot out, so I didn’t feel all that energetic. No pains though which is awesome. Had to go to the bathroom at the end, so I cut it a little shorter than I would have liked. Also, I have never seen so many churches on a single run. There is a church for every person basically.
Got back, stretched, rolled, and L7 quickly because we were going to go and see family. Ill rest my legs now… also no acess to ice. It would have melted anyway…
Coach wanted me to get some water pits in. That isn’t going to happen, but I can definitely get in a tempo on the streets. They can go on forever.
Guessing on the mileage.
