A pretty shitty run, pun intended. I realized afterward that I ate a trail mix bar right before I left, and that was probably a big factor on this run. Went out alone from XCFH up NP around the lake back SP trails. Felt good going out, tried to keep my head up and look forward. Took a pit stop at the lake. Kinda unusual, but my stomach was starting to grumble. Ran back on the trails, my groin was tightening up a little bit... almost got in a fight with a goose on the trail. That would have been bad. I would have punched it in the face though. Coming back down Bellfield, my stomach started to hurt a lot, ran in for another pit stop... Not good. I really never get stomach issues, but I guess eating and running can shake things up. Wanted to go on Soverlook to add on because I was feeling fast and my legs were good, but I couldnt hold it.
Went back outside, did 2 striders up and down Bellfield. Not enough to make it 6.5, so this will be my 6er. It is important to get in and maintain foot speed, because this season is gonna be flat and fast. Stretch, L7 on the lawn. Watched a bunch of squirrels chase each other. Then upstairs for hips, abs and rolling. My groin was better today. Might just be settling back into training.
