Towpath/ Buckeye trail

June 25, 2011 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
The team got together and we took the van down to Peninsula to run on the towpath. It was kinda chilly out in the morning and cloudy, but that turned out some perfect running weather. Started with a big group. After running to Boston Heights, we cut over to the treacherous Buckeye trail. Mercer took a nice spill. Aaron, Mitchell, Mercer and Corey all turned around, and Tim and Chris and I continued along. We got the an end in the trail, didnt really know where to go, then turned around and continued on the towpath (afterward, Mercer told me where we should have gone. We were so close). The trails were really nice.

We continued on the towpath and then turned around and kicked it back in. The pace on the towpath was definitely under 7, but we slowed down a bit on the trails. We picked it up a lot in the last mile. I was feeling it then, thats a long way for my legs to go. Knee felt a little tight at times, and my quad felt kinda swollen this morning. Overall I felt good though. Shoes got pretty muddy.

At the trailhead, we all stretched. I did L7 and was late to the van, NBD. We then headed out to another part of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park to eat lunch and play some EPIC KanJam. Aaron and I killed it. Won two best of 5 matches by closing out the last 3 games. So clutch. We also picked up some Ice cream :) (apparently its was at Michael Jordans favorite ice cream shop). Real chill day overall. Nice to see Mercer.

Ill get in some nice stretching and core tomorrow after my little jog. Might want to sleep in and skip the bike double. Im pretty tired after today.
