Oakcrest

Back down to the high school. I was going to run with Will, but I guess now I will do my long run tomorrow with him. Small crowd today. Really the only kids I knew were Owen and my bro. Since I am going long later, I stuck to an oakcrest while they went on a burdick. Legs felt slow and sluggish today on the run. Still felt good though. Powered up the hills they werent bad at all, I thought they would be. Came back alone and picked up the pace. I think today was closer to training pace. Once again, perfect weather. I love fall and cant wait for it to be like this more often.

Got back, snuck across all the construction onto the track. Did barefoot striders on the field. I felt great on those. I was flying. I realized that I havnt done any speed this summer, jut base training. These striders are helpful. The first meet is in 3 weeks. I cant believe it. Real amped up. Workouts in practice will be here all season, so we got time. The most important races are at the end of the season, especially for me. I want to evolve into form and finish my strongest... Hung out at the steeple pit too. Its nice to just balance on the barrier. Hanging out at the track reminded me of Coach Fravil... Back in those days... Max got back and we stretched on the field. L7 there too. Then we headed home. Hammies and hips when I got home. then Roll. Good day overall. Feeling prepared :)
