NP fartlek

Knew we had a fartlek today, not sure of what it was. Got to veale after 398. It was nice to have that little time and sporacle. Anyways got taped again, then learned we had a pyramid type workout on NP. The goal was basically to do a 55 min run with pickups. The slow part was supposed to be training pace.

We did a few laps around Van horn, then drills. We then warmed up together to NP via the meadow. Mitchell and I got caught by the traffic passing MLK, so everyone started without us. This means we wernt packed up very well. I kinda ran alone which I wasnt too happy about. We did 1-2-3-4-4-3-2-1 with 1:30 after the 1 then 2:30 between everything else. I really tried to push it on the on parts. My leg speed isnt there yet, and I feel even more constricted by the ankle taping. Frustrating, because aerobically I feel good. I dont need to let it ride until PSB or All Ohio anyways... I just want to be ready mentally then. I felt that ache in my stomach when I am finishing a race though... That need to become familiar, and good feeling. Cooled down with a larger pack we caught at the end of the fartlek. I guess overall I felt good, just not very fast.

Went down to lift when we got back. The lift was tough because our legs were tired, and it was a cardio circuit. Anyways, beasted through it, and felt real swole afterwards. Get Yolked! Back upstairs to ankle drills with Thea, and a little stretching and rolling, L7 and ice. Got out of veale quicker than last week haha. Ill swim and bike tomorrow on my off day. I think I got the good mileage in today.
