Weather: Perfect running weather

Got my foot taped in the training room before practice; the first time I've used a serious tape job for a run. Warmed up to the meadow and around it some, then got ready to roll 8x500m hills. Wound up running these just ahead of Jeff. Not the smallest bit of pain from my toe the whole time, but I was not satisfied with my level of mental effort. Splits: 1:58, 1:57, 2:07, 2:05, 2:12, 2:13, 2:10, 2:06. We did something like 100m of turnover work during each recovery interval. I have turnover, I just have to get myself to commit to the grind. Takeaway is that I need to work on my lower back strength and on not being a wimp.
