Exercise Type: Bike
Weather: Veale Cardio Room
Comments:
Hit the grey bike for an hour. Tried to maintain a steady high heart rate and that worked pretty well. David Dixon was on one of the bikes for the first 10-15 minutes of my workout, and Tim Smith turned up half an hour in. I listened to Disturbed for the first 20 minutes or so until the headphones got too sweaty to stay in. Despite maintaining a heart rate in the 175-180 range for the second half hour, I was able to maintain a conversation with Tim, mostly about injuries and the upcoming season. I stopped for about 20 seconds for a water break halfway through, but my heart rate did not drop very far and I had it back up to 180 in less than 50 seconds after getting back on. The last five minutes I just tried to crank my heart rate up as high as I could. No luck breaking 200, but I did keep it above 190 after I got it there with 4+ minutes to go. Afterwards, I felt like my knee was a little agitated, so I won't be doing any more biking, despite the fact that it gives me a great cardio workout.
