Was shooting for a mile, and got it just before open swim closed. Pretty much the whole time I was thinking about the 2003 team and AJP. I did a little research on the guys who ran nats that year yesterday and it got me thinking. I can't but wonder how each of them ran at nationals and what that felt like. I kind of wish they had come to alumni yesterday, but whatever. I'm hoping we can leave a mark like that on the future of Case XC. I have a long way to go, but I'm pumped for every step of the way, even if the payoff isn't for a long time. I just have to train hard and make sure I don't get injured on the way. That, and mentally commit to the pain. Once I make that step I'll be ready to move forward. Until then all I can do is progress slowly.

Anyway, here's the workout:

WU:
100 freestyle
200 breast

Workout: 2x
300 progression freestyle (100ea x easy, tempo, hard)
100 breast recovery
150 backstroke
50 breast recovery

Cooldown:
100 freestyle
200 breast

Also, for what it's worth, this is the fastest I've ever swum(swam?) a mile.
