Day One - Modified C25K

I had intentions of starting on Monday, but I wasn't expecting the snow... Obviously, someone should watch the weather forecast more often!

At any rate, tonight was my first run. I have decided to modify the C25K program a little bit. The plan says to run a minute and walk a minute and a half. I ran a minute, but I gave myself 2 minute walk-breaks. I have tried the program before (got 2 weeks in) and completely struggled with the last 3 or 4 minute runs because 90 seconds just didn't feel like enough to recover. This time, I felt much better, and extended it from 20 minutes to 25 to make up for the difference in the walking time. Basically, I'm modifying it to where I feel my body is right now. Tonight felt good. It was hard, and I am pretty sure that I will be a little bit sore, but I was able to recover from it. I was in that range where you feel like it was tough, but didn't feel like you were dying.

I am looking forward to Monday's run, and seeing how I do with it.

I have decided that I am not in a hurry to get to 5K. I plan on keeping this routine for about a week, but I'm going to try listening to my body for a change, so if I need to do it longer, I will.
