Exercise Type: Run

Last night was my second run. I intended to blog about it right after I got home, but I didn't come straight home, and that wasn't until about 1 a.m. so I was ready for bed by then!!! At any rate, this run was harder than the first. I decided to start with a 10 minute warm-up (rather than the 5 minute from the last time. The first run, I had to stop halfway through to stretch, so I hoped that warming up better would help prevent that. It did.
I walked the 10 minutes and then alternated 1 minute run, 2 minutes walking for the next 21 minutes.Just before halfway through (so about 8 or so minutes into alternating) I was so sure that I wasn't going to finish. My legs felt a little bit wobbly and I just felt drained. I got a second wind a couple of minutes later, and was able to finish the rest of my run/walk.
I expected yesterday to be slightly easier than Friday. I was unpleasantly surprised. As it turns out, I was absolutely drained. I am wondering if not getting enough sleep may have something to do with it. I am going to bed early tonight so that maybe I can get caught up on my sleep. Maybe tomorrow's run will leave me with a little bit more energy.
