No tempo again. Did the fast stuff today. It was nice weather, which was soo different from last week, and we were on the outdoor track, so we went fast. Good practice for Oberlin, since it is basically a track itself... Had a little meeting before hand to revisit our goals. Basically, the numbers dont matter, just go out and race as hard as you can, and achieve something you think you cant.
All warmed up, I went a little shorted through campus. Changed shoes when everyone got there. I tried out my flats, which I got in high school, but never really used ever... It was kinda weird, they were like brand new. Did drills and some striders, then grouped up for some speed. Coach really wanted us to work together, and stay together. We listened.
Workout was 4 x1000 (2 min rest), 3 x 800(3 min rest, 6 x 200 with 200 jog. All added up to 8k. Started out in group 2, but after the first one, Me John E and Wyatt moved up, ran the rest with group 1. It was where we needed to be, and we ran well. Times were under what I wanted for a 2630 (Goal pace for the 1000s was 3:14, under 2:34 for the 800s), which is good. Felt strained at times, but ran comfortably and strong. The shoes felt good too. No problems with ankles. IT was getting a little tight on the turns on the 200s and my hammy was tight afterward. Overall, strong workout. I guess I can go kinda fast. 3:12, 3:13, 3:07, 3:07, 2:28, 2:25, 2:22, 31,35,33,34,34,31,32,31.
Hobbled back to Veale because we were all so tired. Went right back down to lift. Lift was good did everything, and moved up a lot in the arms stuff especially. Felt strong. Back up to stretch in the foyer, roll, L7 then iced my hammy. The Goo Goo Dolls are messing shit up!
Might run tomorrow, might xtrain. See whats up after lab. just thinking that veale is gonna be crazy thurs, and we cant get into our lockers so...
