Met Aaron at Veale at 1 to do the steady state with him. Interesting to have a quasi workout after yesterday, I bet most people thought they were going to be really sore. I was feeling ok. My foot was better, swelling down and just tender now. My hamstrings feel really tight and sore. I ran ok today though. Aaron and I though we would be able to pace each other well.
It was kinda raining out, and a little chilly, but the longsleeve did well. Warmed up a mile or so Up to Edgehill. MLK up to NP was closed because more of the wall fell down. So hood. We talked about the season and the workout yesterday. At Edgehill, we picked it up for the steady state. Coach wanted 6-8 miles. We were just gonna go out to eaton and back. Headed out to Eaton on SP. Aaron said his quads were heavy and he was tired, so we fell off the pace a little. I tried to keep it up around 6. I was feeling good, that pace felt pretty easy actually. At eaton, we went back SP and NP. Aaron said he was done, so I kept going. He didn’t drop that far off though… At Coventry, I added on another lap around first lake. The wind picked up there, and I was feeling a little heavy at that point. Jogged back down to veale, getting those chills again. I felt decent after this, my hammy was still tight, but it felt fine running. Its just sore from everything. Also did a ½ mile on the track.
Lost of self care and essentials after. Took my time and chilled. Hurdles, ankles, stretch, roll, L7, abs, leg hangs and Ice. I was at veale for like 4 hrs, but it was all good. I am just going to chill and study tonight. Fall break should be a good recharge.
