Veale to North Side around by museums, up Mayfield to Coventry to East Overlook back (with Paul Z, Santa Claus, Mitchell, Rudolph the Red Nosed Raindeer, Wyatt, The Three Wisemen, Erica, Frosty the Snowman, and Anna), Little Italy Loop (with Paul Zackowski)-
The six of us turned out today to go for a caroling run. We started off with Rudolph the Rednosed Rainder and continued with the Twelve Days of Christmas all the way to Northside. Dean Wolcowitz seemed to enjoy our singing, as did a couple of older ladies. The Twelve Days of Christmas is definitely one of the better Christmas songs to sing while running. We started running out of ideas by the time we reached the museums, so we had to repeat a few. We did the Twelve Days of Christmas again through Little Italy and up Mayfield Hill. I think we all just about blacked out trying to belt out 8 Maids a Milking running up the hill. We did Gloria along Coventry and an old Italian man looked happy to see us singing. Most of the hipster-types just ignored us. I added on a little with Paul Zackoski.
All in all, it was really fun. We had a lady stop in her car and thank us for singing. Future years ought to work on getting more music lined up or bring an i-Pod. We could have also used more people, but it was a lot of fun and we might have perhaps started a tradition.
