IMAZ training swim

February 20, 2009 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Swim

Weather: indoor

Comments:
There were several other people in the lane doing their own thing, so sometimes I was stalled behind them. (Except for Mason Boyles who swam 3 laps to my 1 !)
3x(100@4:00, 50@3:00) Fast
I got stuck behind other swimmer on the first 100, but after that I timed it well enough to avoid traffic. My strategy on the 100's was to swim at an even pace rather than build or neg. split. By the 3rd 100, my arms were very tired. But I felt that I was able to maintain form throughout. My focus was on "scooping" the water with a curved hand and arm; then pushing the water behind me. With all my focus in the power phase, I noticed that my roll was looser, more relaxed.

6x25 @ 1:30
All intervals were 16 or 17 seconds depending on how you split the dial. I did pressouts after the odd numbered intervals (3 sets x 10)
