I was planning on running a tempo today, but my stomach was hurting again, so I settled on a fartlek that way I could easily make a pit stop during an easy segment if need be. I did 3-2-3-2-3-2-1-1-1 with equal time recovery. It wasn't an excruciating workout and it couldn't have been because my stomach wouldn't have taken it, but I did feel some lactic acid and ran faster than I have in quite a while in shorter spurts. I planned on cooling down a little longer but I was having terrible cramps, so I decided I'd rather just run a couple more miles tomorrow.
I'm not in great shape, but this was probably a net positive for me for the future despite my issues.
