It was my first meet of the season, and overall I wasn't too bad. Instead of having me run an 800 and therefore condemn me to a discouraging day, Jorma put me in two 400s (one in the 4x4 and one in the DMR). I raced them very differently, but ended up running 56s for both (which isn't great but isn't terrible, either. It's better than the last time I ran a 400, Outdoor freshman year). The first one I paced fairly well, but I didn't feel like I pushed the second half. For the second one I had recovered for the most part, and I really wanted to run a 55 so I decided to go out aggressively and try my best to hold my momentum for the second half. I ended up running 25 for the first 2, which is insane since that is my 200 PR from last year, but then I died and finished with a 31. I'm still not sure what to make of that, but I guess that shows I have retained my speed.
