A Lot of Stuff Happened

January 10, 2012 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 45 Sunny

Comments:
Lennox up East Overlook to Taylor to Antisdale to Staunton to Severn to Maple to Mayfield to Gennessee to Herald to Holmden to Charlton through Bexley Park to Wrenford to Belvoir to Sheffield to Mayfield to Green to Bayard to Warrensville to Antisdale back to Taylor, back East Overlook to Lennox (alone)-

I set out for my run, and started off by taking a nasty spill as I turned off Lenox on to Euclid Heights by tripping over a tangled piece of metal hiding in the grass. I landed on my hip and elbow, slicing up both but doing seemingly little harm. My hip has a bump and occasionally I feel a little bit of popping but it doesn't hurt.

I saw Coach Lanese on East Overlook and she yelled something to me about being a star.

Just past Warrensville Center, I began to get a strong feeling I would need to make a bathroom stop, and make it very, very soon. I ran through the neighborhood to Bexley Park, but the restrooms there are closed for the season. Then I decided my best course of action was to get to Rainbow Hospital on Green, but I got all turned around in the neighborhood and wound up back on Mayfield. After stopping at a post office to find they didn't have a public bathroom, I proceeded to run the next half mile or so to the hospital (a place I had a series of rather traumatic experiences at as a child) and made a stop.

By this point it was getting somewhat late, my stomach was still not pleased, and I just wanted to go home, so I proceeded back to Lennox by the shortest route available.

The biggest issue from this run was that I expect I'll probably be feeling my hip tomorrow still. I doubt it will turn into anything but I may need to take a few more easy days this week than anticipated.
