The True Eagle (not this newfangled thing now given that title)

Coach had us do a very chill sustained effort run today, so much so that we even dropped a random 3:15 800 before realizing we needed to speed up. We were talking the entire time and stopped to take a heart rate in break (mine was ~160 so really chill for me). The main fuss today was a galvanization of the distance runners over Coach Rubin's reply to the news that Ethan isn't running Saturday because of school(which he still might). This made most of us somewhat mad, though we were really big about saving it for Saturday rather than making this workout hard.

On the way back someone pointed out the red and green lights off in the distance at the entrance to the breakwall as we ran back toward the green one. It reminded me of how in the Great Gatsby the green light across the water symbolizes the American Dream.
