March 1, 2012 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
OOO a real run today! Met up with a bunch of people (Brandon, Drew Chris and Corey) and we went up to north park (OMG). It was kinda chilly and muddy but not too bad. I started out slow, but eased into the pace, and it wasnt that bad. I would have thought I would be huffing and puffing after not running much in the past month, but hey you never know. Again, back was sore at the beginning, but so manageable by the end, i was actually enjoying myself :).

Got back and attempted HM. Did the warmups and walk over but only 2 reps each. It was ok not perfect. Flexibility is still there. I cant risk going over to practice now, got to build strength. I am falling back on my natural ability this season, and how I was in good form at the end of track last year. I wont get much practice in.

So I went to talk to coach today, and she wonders why I am always getting hurt, and how to keep me healthy. I go hard in the paint. Shits gonna happen when you train, the real challenge is dealing with it. I am doing what I need to do to deal with it. Sure, I would have loved to been building mileage over break, running fast 5ks and 3ks, running at indoor and scoring at conference, but that fact is that didnt happen. I can change my future now. She was a little weary on what I should do, but I said I have been healing the past month, and I am going all in. Its a sunk cost now, and I am gonna put in what it takes. We realize Virginia isnt likely... Its sad, but its the reality and I fully accept it. Eyes are set for a bang at marv frye, all ohio and UAA...

Stretched (no static really) roll L7 and a good ice. Feeling sore but it was much better running today. Getting better all the time. It was more of an ache than a hindrance.

also a good day BECAUSE ASSASSINS CREED III BOX ART WAS RELEASED HOLY SHIT IT LOOKS AWESOME CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!
