Tri Club Swim

March 12, 2009 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Swim

Weather: Indoor

Comments:
A light workout this morning. Azalea race will be in two days. A very similar experience this morning as the last couple of swim sessions (mon & tue). A long, relaxed reach and glide then a powerful catch. My times this morning were much faster than I expeced. My perceived exertion was around 65%.
5x300(1')
1-2: descending. 4:25, 4:30. No hurries, very relaxed. Stuck behind swimmer in front, but couldn't pass between the flags. Form felt good. Push offs were strong. The turns could have been smoother, becuase I wasn't anticipating my distance to the wall very well. I seemed to get to the wall in the middle of a recovery stroke.

3: broken at 150 neg. 2:08, 2:07

4: broken at 100 descend. 1:26, 1:25, 1:17. For that last one, I gave about 85-90%% effort. I wanted to see how fast I could go without breaking form.

5: alternate 50 fast, 50 slow. I didn't keep time.
