Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 75 Sunny

Comments:
Veale up West Park to Shaker to 271 and back (starting with large group, the rest of it with or slightly behind Chris Kelly and Ethan Teare)-

We decided to run our progression long run up Shaker today. I ran much of the easy part with Mitchell and Paul Zackowski discussing my graduate school possibilities. I was not feeling very good even at this point, but told myself to stop worrying and just run.

We sped up to medium-effort pace once we got to Warrensville Center. I could feel myself getting rather dehydrated but felt otherwise good. I kept wondering if my lack of water would become a problem but simply told myself not to worry about it and continue running.

After we crossed Warrensville on the way back, we started the tempo and I could tell I was very dehydrated. I managed to stay with Chris and Ethan until we reached West Park, and then sort of drifted back. I could feel myself stop sweating sometime around then. I kept something of a tempo effort as I followed behind Chris and Ethan for the next couple miles, but more or less stopped tempoing once I reached the top of the MLK concrete hill becuase my knee was bothering me. I also skipped the lifting for that reason, although it thankfully was never more than just a little sore and felt better after I stopped.
