outdoor track workout

Actually not that tired from waking up this morning, but much more tired after this workout. It was in the hot sun, and I think it kicked the shit out of most people. Everyone met up at 4, and we all warmed up over to the outdoor track via little italy. I taped my ankle before, because it is still early. I think I can do track workouts without it now. Got to the track, and it was even hotter. Drills, striders everything.

We were set up for 4 x 1200 (2 &4 over hurdles) and 4 x 400 (1&3 over hurdles). there was like 3 min rest between the 12s and 200 jog btw the 4s. I kinda ended up in my own group, since I was going slower. The 12s I went over the shorter hurdles, just to get into it. Bad idea. They were absolute crap. I need to pracitce on the real thing. Form was awful, approach was bad... I just had so much extra room. Switched on the 4s and it was sooo much better. Times were

Cooled down barefoot after on the field, then we finally regrouped to go back to veale. Ran without the brace then, and it was real good.

Got back, lift downstairs...

Stretch roll L7. No ice since the training room was closed and there was no icechest out front. wtf. it would have been nice, since im gonna be sore tomorrow. Also, feet are all abrased from wearing spikes... New shoes felt great though. Its funny because the order just came in too i hear... wow

So yea these paces were slower than they should be, but thats good, because I am improving to where I want to be. I dont want to be burning out in 6 weeks, I want to be peaking, and I have set myself up for that. Its the goal to work towards. I had a blast today, even if the first few hurdles were absolute crap. The 4s felt so much better, familiar and fluid. Its gonna come back. I wasnt too sore while doing it either. I am now though... Calves from wearing spikes, and back from all the activities...
