fartlek and water barriers

April 4, 2012 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Doin work in the lab, so I got out kinda late again. DIdnt throw me off, and I was patient. Waited for CKells cause he was going late too. Same workout as Monday, but we were confused how that would work with the hurdles. No hurdles for the fartlek, so Chris and I headed out to MLK. It was nice out, but kinda chilly. There was no training room so i couldnt heat. Just wore the wrap.

After warm up, headed out. Chris was ahead of me, but only by a bit. Went out w/ 3 intervals, then came back with 3. He headed out for 2 more, and I played on the playground. I felt ok, like I was moving. Felt like I could kick it up a gear if I had to, but the hammy was holding me back a little. I would say it is at like 85%... Good progress, situation I was in before all ohio, and we know how that turned out. O yea, alsmost got hit by a car too. frickin turn signals...

Jogged over to the track after and went through some water jumps. Approach was good, landing was kinda hard hitting. We were getting out fast though which is good. That is the key really. I just need to not crouch and get out fast. Like a Kenyan

Ran back over to Veale and stretched. WE started late, and it was getting late. We were there for a while. Stretched rolled abs then L7. Tired at the end of the day. Good think I dont have too much HW... but I do have projects! Hammy is feeling better too. Eck training has been so sporatic and odd lately. Just want to go out, have fun, and get ready to bust balls at conference. Cross the line knowing you paid the price.
