A long ass day... I dont really understand why. Maybe because we didnt leave that early. Tired on the bus and at the meet. The sun was out most of the day, and that zapped us. Also I wasnt eating much since its passover, but I can get used to it. Me Mercer and Chris were all doing the steeple which was the first race. Nice to get up and get going. After lounging and eating lunch, went out on the warm up. Felt pretty good actually. hammy wasnt really bothering me. It loosened up through hurdle drills and run overs in the warm up too. I took the brace off and ran with out it and it helped.

Coach put me in at 1020, way slower than my PR, but I am getting back into it. This was smart. I wanted to hit that time. Felt ok going over the barrier in warm ups, kinda just doing it from memory. Felt nervous before, but calm at the start. Gun went off and we all stuck as a pack. It quickly spread out after a lap. Went out in 79, perfect. I ended up being alone, with Mercer like 5 behind me. Chris slipped way ahead. I noticed the Albion kid form last year, and he went with like 4 to go and caught the pack. I didnt respond. Now I look at it, head wasnt in the game overall. I was just trying to finish and get the qualifying time. Not a good strategy for championship season. Got to stay competitive on people. Now I know. Another thing I want to improve is that accleeration in an out, making the contious effort. In the last few laps, I dont thing I did, and it turned what should have been 81s into 83 and 85. I wasnt proud of those, or my time really. It is a season best, and a starting point from beeing pretty messed up this track season. I really think I can drop 20 seconds in the next few weeks. I felt like I could have gone faster. With more people, a pack, and David in there to help us stay on the 79 pace, I know we can to it together. I am excited for that. So overall, positive experience, slow race (bad time), very fun though. I had so much fun.

Mercer me and chris cooled down barefoot on the field. I had to take a little bathroom break since my stomach is acclimating to the new diet. After about 2 miles, Mercer and I headed out on the town for a little more. Got in some good miles after missing out last week. My legs feel it... All im gonna do tomorrow is long run and do HW...

Stretched and rolled and L7 a lil after. Didnt get to talk to coach... She said my barriers looked bad, but other than that not much else. Kinda felt on my own with my own problems to deal with... Everyone else threw it down. Lots of guts and good races out there. Mentally, I didnt feel like I did in cross, more like the florida meet. Not what I want, but I am ready to simulate that in practice and get it back into the race next week.

Also, cant find my headband :( I might get a new one later or get a haircut. Also, maybe I dont need it, i just need to race.
