12 miles at Ma and Pa Trail w/ 10x1 minute pickups

Did a pickup each mile after the first mile up until the last mile.

Start of the run had a bad back spasm going on. Had to stop and stretch 3 minutes in it was that bad and affecting me. Hamstring then began tightening up again, but then to a point where it felt like I pulled something.

Began freaking out.

Less than two weeks from the race and everything goes haywire, awesome. Hamstring had a really bad strain. Wound up stopping 20 minutes in for about 5 minutes to stretch it out, make a phone call, determine if I should even keep running, etc. Made the executive decision to keep going; I have two weeks left, can't give up now.

Pace wasn't all that bad, running with a badly strained hamstring though so I was really uncomfortable for all of it and couldn't get a rhythm with how I felt.

Hopped on the track at one point to determine how fast I was doing the minute pickups. Began a pickup at a start line, holding normal pace I had been doing, and ran 77 for the lap, including running an 'off' pace for the last 17 seconds. Probably ran about 320 meters at pickup pace so probably around a 69-70 second quarter.

Again, not a bad run, just really in a lot of pain and really stressed over what was going on with my hamstring, and that fact that I couldn't work the pain out.

Can guarantee I ran over 12 miles in that time frame, but that's at least how long I ran for.
