Weather: Very Humid and Cloudy, Mid 70's
Comments:
Parents made me take off yesterday, didnt like it at first but in hindsight it was probably a good idea, especially with the weather. Anyways today I knew I was getting my "long run" in for the week. Goal was just to get 5 in under 40 minutes without going 100%. Start of the run didnt think it was gonna happen but about halfway through I knew it would. Def surged a bit here and there but it was tooo hard. Went from the back of school locker room down dudley over through bp tot he bridge and back but instead of stopping at the school I did the warmup loop backwards fromt here and then did a zig zag. 17:28 on way out then 16:12 way back in (until I got to the lockeroom again, at that point I was at 33:40) After finsihed the distance run I did 2x100 but the second one was a bit longer. Strecthed and strided before and no strides after as I had to go. Not a bad day. Actually just found out that what I thought to be a 100 meters the past 4 days (in the woodhome parking lot and on the track is a bit longer..which is certainly encouraging. All of my sprints on saturday and sunday were at about 15.5-16.2/100m range and today they were 15 flat/100m for about 110 and 14.67/100m for about 130m. Maybe I'm not as slow as I thought..35.8 for those 2 today.
