Downtown, out Monroe to Edgewater and back-
I decided to try and restart doing long runs since I haven't done any in a long time and today was clearly the best weather I am going to get for a while, so I decided to go for it. It started off pretty good for the first four miles or so, but I did need to make a bathroom stop at Jackson St. Pier on the way out.
I continued out toward the west end of town to the point where I was planning to turn around and began my return trip. I ran by US Tsubaki WHERE THEY ARE STILL ON STRIKE AND CAMPING OUT IN FRONT OF THE PLACE SINCE LAST FEBRUARY! I'm sorry guys and I understand it sucks to be on strike better than a lot of people for obvious reasons, but after 15 months of striking I think you might need to give it up and get a new job. You're not going to win this one.
I was starting to have to go to the bathroom really badly on the way back and tried to stop at Lions Park, but the bathrooms were still "Closed for the season". Really? In late May? I continued all the way back to Jackson St. Pier to make a bathroom stop on my way back. That was a very long three miles. Afterward, I continued on home. My stomach was bothering me the rest of the night.
