Today was a real scorcher. FOr the most part, new england has had very nice temps and beautiful weather. I hear of all this hotness in the midwest, and it came my way today. Almost melted on my walk home, and I live across the street. We opted to wait until the night to go run. Today was my test drive after taking a week off. It has been feeling better... Pain is not localized, I really do believe its just a system shock from getting back into training. Got to get into it again. Met Molly and her friend Jimmy (also from Oberlin) and we did a little loop down Lincoln to Amity and back through town. Felt fine the whole time, actually felt good considering I havnt run in a week. Had my sleeve on. Neoprene is my fallback, my safety net. Love that stuff... We kept a good pace and chatted the whole time. Very enjoyable.
Essentials: Stretch, ankles, L7, roll, pushups, ice cup
Stretched infront of the dorms with Molly cause Jimmy was adding on and we didnt want him to get lost. Did a few ankle circles to loosen up. Massaged my shin a little too. It doesnt hurt like it did last week... guess it just needed some rest. Back upstairs to roll and do pushups. Very relieved today. Got my fix for my drug and its nice. Going to take it day to day here on out, xtrain tomorrow then ease back into it Friday and the weekend... This shows that patience prevailed.
Also FYI I am in the process of forging the Oberlin-Case "party"line. If any one wants to join me for a bonfire party and spiritual drumming session down there next semester, come along. I am also trying hard to get them to come up and see what the XCFH is all about.
