Went out for 5' and returned home.

Here's my msg to DF which sums up my thoughts:

Adam nice to see that you had a solid race, 16:15 at the half. When I was 20 (1994) in the same race i went through the first half in 16:15 as well and 16:14 for the second half for a 32:29 and ended up in 3rd just like you.

Congrats? I dunno, Deon. I think I f'd up that race pretty badly. I'm not upset or anything but running a +40" positive split in the 10k isn't anything to be proud of. That said, I know I am in better shape than that time. I just made a few mistakes the night before the race. I'll learn from it and not dwell on my errors. Anyway, I just got home from a run... well, I was out there for only 5 mins and I turned around and came home. I need a day off to clear my head and plan out the next 4 weeks before the Tely. As Daniels says, if you don't know why you're out running you should just go home. So i'll cook myself a good meal, get a good nights rest and come back tomorrow feeling positive again. I'll email you what I think I should do and maybe you can give me some feedback.
