Crippen Hill

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
First day of survival camp in Youngsville. Back again. I really love camp just chillin getting ready for the year. Also it was awesome to be back with everyone, since I was away all summer. I was in my element. Drove out with Barnes as my shotgun, which was pretty fun. We got there late since we were stuck behind an oil truck. I passed him late on the highway. I literally floored the van, which I have never done before. Got there and pretty much went right out on the run like we usually do. Big group. Went the same distance as I did last year pretty much. Ran with Austin up the hill, then came back down with John Frey and Ben Brucker. It was hot out at the top, but I actually felt really good, Achilles was fine out on the run. Its still alittle tight here and there. I think its the orthotics, which I am working on ASAP. Also, the bridge to Crippen hill was broken, so we had to climb down into the stream and cut over to the road.

Essentials: Stretch, roll, L7, buddies, ice in the creek

Kinda sporadic stretching from everyone. I got down to it though. Felt good stretching out, the creek wasnt all that cold though, which I was disappointed with. I got to relax the rest of the day since I didnt go and play frisbee, I made the sacrifice. Overall a good first day of camp, got me feeling good and excited for the season.
