Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
First real interval workout today. A lot of people pushed it to tomorrow, but a few of us went today. I couldnt go tomorrow cause of class, so I was fired up today. Wyatt and Dong and Mercer also joined the group so I didnt have to run alone. It was real crisp out today, but still I didnt need the 3 mile warm up, so I drove out with Coach and most of the girls team. Had a nice Team Luna attack on the way. Started the warm up right at the start of MLK. Legs were very heavy and achy on the way out actually. Not feeling too good. Back was ok though. We did all the drills and such before and I started to loosen up, a little. Put on the flats today to be real speedy. Loop was same around Gordon Park (I looked it up on Google Maps, thats what it is actually called). To start off, we did a 400 peppy to get the legs moving. I was way infront and it may have been longer than 400... oops. After that we lined up for the 1000s. Coach wanted them fast, around 3:05 to 3:10. Had a good group, mentioned before, but the freshmen joined in for a few. We had 1:30 rest inbetween, then we took a HR and went back to the line. HR was always around 30-32, real dec. I felt slow and sluggish for the first part usually, but when we turned around at the playground, I felt stronger and focused and fast. Very nice feeling. Brought it in strong. Just took a while for me to know that I was still in it and I had something left to give. Very tired at the end. We didnt want to dick around, so a bunch of us just ran the whole way back. Splits were:

Essentials: Stretch, roll, L7, ice bath
Good relaxing stretch. Also, the ice bath was freezing. Ill probably be sore and tired tomorrow. The fast stuff really gets you worked up. Back was good today though.
