Comments:
One-mile warmup and then 5 miles at desired race pace. I'll be honest, I was interested to see how this would go. Would I be gassed after 5 miles at race pace? Now that it's over I would say that I'm feeling more confident. It was huffing for sure, but I could have continued on at that pace for awhile. 8:18 warm-up mile, then 6:58, 6:57, 6:56, 6:56, 6:48.
