After the Test and Before the Dinner

The Shell past the capital to E Washington to North St to Johnson back-

I ran between my x-ray test and going out to dinner with a couple prospective grad students and one of our current ones. I was slightly nervous about that because it was me and a Mormon going to dinner with a recruit from Brigham Young and another recruit and it would be sort of awkward if the other guy wanted a drink but it turned out he didn't anyway so it was okay.

As I ran by just west of the capital, there were two guys on the sidewalk with signs that said, "Does Freethought include MY Views? Men's Rights" and "Equality for Men!!!". I managed to get about 25 yards past them before cracking up. I'd never heard of such a thing.

As I ran down Johnson Street, I was thinking about how I might be moving near here next year. It'll be exciting to immerse myself in more characteristic Madison culture ;)
