Exercise Type: Walk
Comments:
Dog walk in the afternoon. Down Dodge to the stop sign then up the road a little. It was freezing cold out and started snowing just as we went out. Walked pretty slow dont feel all that strong, and going quicker shakes up my sore muscles.
Got out of the hospital, but there is still a road to recovery. Its going to take another few weeks for my system to get back to normal. My appetite is back though which is good. Also, digesting doesnt hurt anymore, cramps are minimal but there is a lot of noise and gas. Walking is so much easier though, but I do get tired quickly (haha seems so weird) The other funny thing is that I am finally down to race weight (below 150). I lost about 8 pounds in the past week.
Realistically, I am geared up for not racing this season. Its sad, since this was my last season and I do like outdoors and the steeple a lot. The earliest I can return to running is in 2 weeks, so that would be 4 weeks off of running... I am prepared for it though, knowing that I need to transition into a different kind of runner anyways. This might just help me do it earlier. This isnt to say I am going to quit, because I am not. I plan to get healthy and return to running and practice and training, but I know that I wont be ready to race for it.
