Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Woke up early for Hudson Relays this morning. It was a gorgeous day headed down in my running stuff, but I didnt have a shirt since I never picked it up. Went to the Hall Of Fame Awards Banquet the night before, and it was pretty special. It was cool to hear all of the stories about people who had been away for a while and came back, and how much it changed. Seems like they had all the same team shenanigans as we do now.
Anyways got the breakfast down there. Our team was pretty disorganized, you could tell we didnt really care we were just out there having fun. The Freshmen, the Juniors and the Alumni were way into it though. There werent many shirts left when I got there, so I picked up an XL. It covered up my running shorts, so I pulled the old "I lost my shorts" trick. Classic. Our team wasnt really optimized either, since I was on the Stairs leg... whatever I wasnt going to argue.
Really broken up running, but I ran around Northside with Colin, then headed over to my spot at Fribley. We were way behind, so it took a while for me to get the baton. I did some striders and some practice stairs to warm up. Finally got the baton, but couldnt go all out, since the stairs are uneven. I was still flying up them and I think I did it in less than a minute. Pretty fun, reminded me of wanting to do the EMpire State Building run someday.
Ran back over to northside, saw the freshmen skip a leg, then ran back and stretched and watched the Juniors finish. We werent going to wait around and watch the Senior finish... that would have taken forever. Hit up Fribs with Greg Colin and Big Joe afterward.
Essentials: Stretch
I guess I stretched a little. Not to sore since I wasnt running the whole time, but overall felt tired since it was really sunny out. Its time to get used to this tough running weather.
