Nice and easy. Also I put off updating my running log for so long that I'm just not gonna bother. At WMCs I ran a 2:03.mid 4x8 leg accidentally and then bombed the 800 running 2:09 (I was dead from the 4x8, the heat, and the horrible winds which slowed everyone down 5+ seconds). At States I had a bit of a breakthrough and finally PR'd in the 800 with a 2:00.69, which was good for second. I was a bit bummed that I didn't break 2 because I really feel I could have if it weren't so hot or if I had someone nearby to push me on the home stretch. Still: THREE SECOND PR BABY. I then ran a 52.4 in the 4x4 to capture second there, and our team came second to Waterville. It was a day of 2s apparently. I thought I'd go to New Englands to try to break 2 and I was feeling confident, but the day before I decided not to for reasons that I may regret years from now. For now I'm happy with this season and glad I didn't get injured before I could see it through.
I also ran the chocolate milk mile, which had a great showing for its third installment. Personally I kinda bombed since I spent at least three minutes on the last lap puking, and finished in 10:30 or something, but at one point I didn't think I'd even finish so I guess that's not bad.
Now, after a three week break I'm getting ready for college. I'll probably skip XC and really focus on killing the 8 while keeping my volume within limits. Right now I'm just starting with easy circuits and I'll probably start running with Monday's xc fun run.
