Crisp fall day. This is some kick ass weather. Woke up exhausted and beat up from last night. I just chilled around and worked on some data analysis. I was going to watch UMass home meet today, but I was working on my lab and to tired to go... Started to feel more active in the afternoon and hit up my run. Went out pretty far on Mountain Rd. I turned right at the split and it went down the mountain. I got close to the road but didnt want to run back on it because there is no shoulder, so I just turned around. Felt great out on the trail. It was very liberating and fun to just fly through the woods on a great fall day. Definitely got me excited and made me want to be racing again. It is just so characteristic to that time of the year... Tried to hold my pace on the way back, but my knee was kinda tight and I was feeling tired. But for most of the run, felt great.

Essentials: Stretch

Stretched outside. Bugs werent too bad today which is good, because they are so annoying. Great job to the squads today at Penn State and at Calvin and congrats to anyone that PRed. I really wish I could have been out there to watch. I remember I had a good race at PSB last season which helped me gain some confidence and propel me into the post season. Every race and workout counts and can help you get to where you want to be, and where you should be.

Cant really map the woods, so I think this was a little longer than 7 miles.
