Comments:
Well, again I had a fairly short night of sleep. I'm hoping this does not become so regular an occurrence that it affects track. I still looked forward to practice all day, but became nervous when I heard we'd be doing a five-mile tempo, which changed to four. Anthony said the distance guys who ran winter track (that includes me) and Boardman who made a guest appearance from mid-d would be doing a four mile tempo running the great four mile loop. I found myself dashing back to my bag to put on more layers. My whole body felt sore from yesterday and I must admit I whined about it a little to Tristan who told me to suck it up. We warmed up to Booeymonger and back then began the tempo in earnest, which I had--consciously or not--decided to do. I ran most of it with Zeke who was a little ahead until coming down and ascending mass avenue again at which point we ran the rest together. I never strained, but my form did not feel composed, still definitely a tempo. Strength work directed by Jason at the beginning of practice, lots of pushups and then the crunch progression after the run with Tristan.
