March 9, 2014 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Beautiful, windy, almost 60 degrees at the end
Comments:
I drove to coach's house and arrived at 11. We went through a winding loop in the vicinity of St. Albans and into rock creek park for a bit, where we saw Sarah Shine, Jessie and Soraya. We did this on my request that he show me "Steve's trail." We exited the trail near the bottom of Wisconsin and climbed the hill and steady pace. On his suggestion, I did a fast pickup for about 150m and looped back. At this point we had two miles left and were running into the wind. We maintained 7:26 for the next mile then brought it back to Livingston from Wisconsin in 7:08. We stretched and got strength work out of the way on his porch: slow pushups for 2 minutes, scissor kicks for 1:20, 20 clams per side, 20 dead-bug style crunches, 25 Silverman mountain climbers (all four movements counted as 1). Longer than intended, but I can't complain. Weather and company were great and form felt clean.
