AU workout 8x400

Chilly workout! Still, it felt pretty good. I tried out a new tactic--holding back a little when I first start the pickup then trying to speed up over the course of the 400. It was refreshing in that rather than feeling like I was slowing down over the course of the pickups, I felt like I was getting faster. I'm not certain of any of the pickup times but I remember enough of my times to reconstruct the workout. Plus, I remember getting quicker over the workout, which is always great! Also, I enjoyed running with my pack quite a bit--Samaha, Katherine, Sam K, Sarah P, Isabel, and and Julia W. For some of them, Gillian and Rhianna ran with us as well.

I still don't feel strong enough in those 400s though. I think I'll try to do more hills or pickups on my own over break. Or at the very least, run up some mountainous roads in snowbird. On a side note, my shins were bothering me on the run over and during the drills/ striders, which is a little worrisome. The pain is centered right around my shinbone. Did crunches (45sec), pushups (50), burpees (13- adding one per day), clams (15 each side) and a couple other things.
