I could go my whole life never knowing my race or workout until I step onto the line to do it. I heard we'd be doing 5x800m at American University (lap recovery) and kept fretting about it all day until I ran them mediocrely and found myself wishing for more workout. I am not as frustrated now as I was during the workout, but it could have been astronomically better. I will remember that on Saturday during the 4x800m. Zeke yelled at me to stop complaining, and I replied that he would be too if had been running 2:31s. I did them with Zeke and Jackson, in between them the whole time except on the last one Jackson passed me for a moment, which prevented me from falling asleep. I reverted to my habit of deciding how the day would go after the first one and that was that; At least I finished, unlike the 12x400m and at least I was somewhat consistent. 20 pushups, 15 supermen, 2 minute flutter kicks, 1 minute pushup hold (didn't have very good form).

NOTE: At 11:45 today I felt a pulsating pain in my lower left shin. I've felt it before, iced it and it went away and has never bothered me on a run. I couldn't get it out of my head and I iced it for about 10 minutes right before practice. It still hurts a little bit. The run back from AU didn't bother it while we were in motion, but when we paused I noticed that same pain. Freaking out about this.
