I was in the second floor lobby at 4:15 and Jason showed up and said, "Let's head over there." Fantastic workout at American University with Stats and Gabe. 1600m, 800m, 2x400m, copious recovery, tempo from Ward to Albermarle street, cooldown to the front door. I brought spikes but decided to not to wear them, feeling frisky enough in my trainers during the eight striders. I did not strain at all during the mile, except during the last lap. In the 800m, I got out too slowly and pushed to catch up to my teammate in the last 150m. The first 400m was a little shocking and I didn't go out fast enough. The second one I adjusted better. The tempo on the way back to school ( ) felt smooth and adequately difficult. Strength work with Aidan: 2 minute planks, 30 second scissor kicks, 30 second flutter kicks, Jesus lifts for 1 minute, crunches with legs up, reaching for the toes for 1 minute, in between all these, various types of pushups (wide, tricep, diamond, regular) totaling to 65. Wall sit for 1:30.
