I woke up this morning thinking that last night hadn't really happened. Womp womp. Eh, I can't say I'm extremely disappointed in myself. I stepped onto the track with hunger but everything doesn't always go as planned. It's incredibly difficult to not get caught up in the fast, early pace when you're in such a competitive race. That's one other thing I can work on. Obviously, I didn't qualify but I'm glad that I at least ended my season with a new PR. To be honest, I am disappointed... but nonetheless proud and NOT AT ALL discouraged. I will be back there next year.
Can I just say how excited I am for summer training? I haven't allowed myself to think about it for too long over the past few weeks but now IT'S HERE! I can't wait to run double days, do tempo runs, improve my endurance, and devour some hills!!! It's like I already smell the horse poop from here!
