Reverse Pimmit loop

June 16, 2014 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 88

Comments:
Before my run, I was feeling really antsy. In general, my body feels really unhappy/weak and it is affecting my mental state. That is, last week was beach week, which was so much fun and really relaxing. But, it was also not the best for my body--I got very little sleep, ate unhealthy (yet delicious!) foods, and walked as my main form of exercise.

It's also tough to transition from being in great shape at the end of track to being the least conditioned I've been in a year. On the one hand, it's exciting because now I get to see myself build up slowly and my legs are fresh. But on the other hand, I do feel a little discouraged. And I hate to dwell on anything negative, but I am a little worried about not having a team next year. Im worried that rather than having a practice default built into my day, planning daily runs will become another task on my endless to-do lists. I hope hope hope the harvard running club has a big following and will provide some source of consistency.

Well aside from the negative, my (short but sweet) run today managed to even out my mood and make me feel a little better. Even though I'm not in great shape now, just the act of getting out for a 16 minute run is a step in the right direction. And knowing that I'm moving (literally...hehe) in the right direction is enough to quell some of my worries.

After my run, I did the crunch progressions (10pushups, 30sec), 15 burpees, 15 clams per side.
