Drove home for the weekend today. Uneventful drive, its so boring it just happens and you barely notice it, even though it takes all day. It is nice to drive in the summer though a lot prettier and nicer out. Did get in a lil bike ride when I got home. A Truck drove into Simeons on the Commons and fucked up a whole bunch of everything. We biked over to see what was happening. The restaurant is destroyed, the apartments above it are falling down, an there was even a fatality and lots of injuries. Big news in a town where not much crazy shit happens. That building is a staple of the Commons (it was built in the late 1800s), and its going to fall down if they remove the truck. Its gonna be a while until they clean up all this. Apparently the brakes just failed. I almost drove by there right at that time as I was getting into town, but I took a shortcut home. Crazy stuff.
